If you’re like most people, you probably have at least one group text going on with your friends or family. And if you’re like most people, you’ve probably also had that one friend who just doesn’t know when to stop talking.
Thankfully, there is a way to remove someone from a group text without having to block them or delete the entire thread. Here’s how:
- Open the Messages app and go to the group text thread that you want to remove someone from.
- Tap on the top of the screen where it says “group name.”
- Scroll down to the bottom of the next screen and tap “Leave this Conversation.”
- Confirm that you want to leave the conversation by tapping “Leave Conversation” again.
That’s it! You will now be removed from the group text and will no longer receive any messages from that thread. The other members of the group will still be able to chat with each other, but you will be out of the loop. If you ever want to join the group text again, simply follow the same steps and tap “Join this Conversation” at the bottom of the screen. You will then be added back into the group chat.
How to remove people from group text
There are a few different ways that you can remove people from group text messages. One way is to simply ask the person to leave the group. This can be done by sending a message to the person asking them to leave, or by asking them in person.
Another way to remove someone from a group text is to change the settings on your phone so that the person is no longer able to receive messages from the group. This can be done by going into the settings menu on your phone and finding the option to block someone from a group chat. Finally, you can also remove someone from a group text by deleting their number from your contacts list. This will prevent them from being able to receive any messages from the group, but they will still be able to see the messages that have been sent.
If you’re the one who created the group text, you have the ability to remove people from it at any time.
To do this, open up the group text conversation and tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner. From here, select “Edit” and then find the person you want to remove from the group. Tap on the red minus sign next to their name and then hit “Done” when you’re finished.
The person will now be removed from the group and will no longer receive any messages that are sent. However, they will still be able to see the messages that have been sent up until this point. If you’re not the creator of the group text, you can still remove yourself from it at any time. To do this, open up the group text conversation and tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner. From here, select “Leave Group Chat” and confirm that you want to leave. You will now be removed from the group and will no longer receive any messages that are sent. However, you will still be able to see the messages that have been sent up until this point.
